Immersed in Starlight

Red, violet, and blue astronomical projections filling the museum's grand interior

Immersed
in Starlight

An awe-inspiring audiovisual show that brings the universe to life through extraordinary astrophotography captured beneath city skies.

Created in partnership with Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

Deep space.
All around you.

Immersed in Starlight is about reclaiming our night sky from places where it seems lost forever.

The show is available to license for your venue. Explore licensing →

Immersed in Starlight brings the universe into museums, cultural spaces, and event venues through astrophotography, music, and storytelling.

Huge projections reveal nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies in extraordinary detail. Gentle movement and a soundtrack specially composed by Sam Whitfield from Cyan Music create a shared journey through space and time.

The show gives audiences time to look, listen, and take in the scale and beauty of the cosmos.

Every astronomical image is real, photographed by Lee Pullen from a small garden in central Bristol, through the city’s light pollution. Many take weeks or months to create. Lee’s introduction shares the story behind the images, with his narration guiding audiences through the journey.

The intro talk was pitched just perfectly. The music was gorgeous. An absolutely deliciously delightful evening! Huge well done to all involved. This was just perfect.”
